We went to the De Oude Sluis as we had read positive reviews about the restaurant. And we have to say that we were more than positively surprised. We enjoyed our (great)  dinner a lot. Kudos to the owners and the team. They deserve a compliment.

De Oude Sluis

Outstanding 6 course menu, purely vegan! Hidden gem up north of the Netherlands, close to Lauwersoog. Genuine products, creative interpretation.   Highly recommended.

Friendly service. I had &quot;steak tartare&quot; plus a tarbot (fish) which was excellently prepared. The dryest wine of their (house) wine list, a Sauvignon Blanc, was not as dry as I would have liked it, and the waiter proposed their house ros&eacute; wine which met all my wishes. The dessert was based on fresh red fruit with a bit of ice, and their espresso put me safely back on the road again.

Zoals altijd, fijne ontvangst. Goede wijn. Altijd wordt er goed rekening gehouden met mijn wens voor glutenvrij. Het klopt gewoon. Komen snel weer.

As always, good reception, good wine, always takes care of my wish for gluten free, it&#39;s right, come back soon.

Heerlijk genoten weer van het diner bij de oude sluis. Echt een aanrader om langs te gaan zodat je het zelf kunt ervaren! Knus, gezellig en altijd heerlijk eten!

Good enjoying dinner again at the old lock. Really a recommendation to go along so you can experience it yourself! Cute, pleasant and always a good food!
